To make the forums more fancy, I believe we should replace the ugly grey background and replace it with a picture of the server. Also, there should be space for more than 1 poll at once. I'd like to see these ones: Which staff should be demoted? -(Staff) -(Staff) -(Staff) -No-one If staff were to be demoted, who would you like to replace them? -Option Option Option Should the map be reset Yes No There should also be forum ranks, and a more convinient profile page. I will also use this topic tomlist new personal suggestions. |

Also, as you can see on the left you can see the space with the heads in it. Underneath the heads, there should be a brief description of the player and a hyperlink to their full profile. |

If there is any way to, I'd love to have instant donations. If we do get them, I suggest that once they donate, they recieve the rank, obviously, and a message is broadcasted:"Thankyou green_pranav_ for donating! You have recieved the donator+ Rank!" |

I don't think luigi is that good at programing webpages. The last two pages were created by someone else for him, and to my knowledge, the person who made this one has left. |

Firstly, I think the grey background is important for the design and balance of the forums and website. I don't want it to be darker or more colourful than the main content because I want the focal point to be the text and I want that text to be easy to read and not have distractions such as images in the background.I have been wanting to create a website poll facility that is more permanent than the current poll which just replaces the "Latest news" box on the left side of the homepage. I could probably add more boxes to the left with polls in them, but I don't want the homepage to become too crowded with one similar element. Maybe have just one poll in a special box (the most recent one) and then have a link going back to previous ones or something. With the forum/website ranks, that is also something I have on my todo list. This would have to come with proper moderation abilities and a moderator page on the forum to view posts in the trash. Another thing I have been working on is a search function which will be needed when category listing pagination is implemented as the amount of topics in each category increases. This will be able to search for posts by user and hopefully content as well. Other things that should be implemented in the future include: - a forum statistics page - youtube video embedding in the forums - news + forums integration - pinned topics - locked topics - upvote/downvote posts - proper image uploading in reports (complicated) When you say "a more convinient profile page" I don't quite see how it could be more convenient, but I'm not very good with design, my website programming skills are based more on the functionality of the website. On the left column of each forum thread with the heads of the author of each post, there already is a hyperlink to their profile on their username. I think even a brief description of the player would be too much to fit in that small space. It should only contain the player's username, picture, rank and possibly forum post count. I'm just worried that if I put too many things in there, it will elongate the space each message takes up, increasing the physical length of each topic especially on longer topics where you may have to scroll quite a bit as there is no pagination. Instant donations are something that I think theoretically could be implemented, but not anytime soon. It seems very complicated and would require lots of testing or parallel implementation to make sure the old system is still functional if the new automatic one fails. |
