Forum Rules and Punishment System

I have a proposal that can potentially solve the problem with spamming and disrespect on the forums: rules.

Rules
1. No spamming
-No excessive posts, images, etc.
-No irrelevant posts, images, etc.

2. Be nice (even if you don't want to)
-No posts/images purposefully meant to offend/hurt someone (i.e. "F*ck you", "Nobody likes you", etc.)

3. Be respectful of others
-No discrimination (Racism, sexism, etc.)
-Respect other people's opinions, beliefs, etc.
-Don't purposefully annoy other people

4. No foul language
(I considered making this "No excessive foul language", but it would be hard to keep track of who is swearing on how many different topics).

5. Use common sense
-Think before you post (Is it relevant? Is it appropriate? Does it help to solve the problem?)
-If you can find the answer with a quick Google search, don't ask

Punishment System
If a player breaks a rule....

-Once
-Verbal warning*

-Twice
-Verbal warning*
-Temporary mute or ban (depending on severity of violation)

-Three times
-Verbal warning*
-Extended temporary mute or ban

-Four or more times
-Permanent mute or ban
-Account deletion (in some cases)

*Verbal warning on the forum may only come from staff and should be sent to the offender via personal message. To get to personal messages, click the username of a player. This should bring up an option to send a message.

This is just a general rough draft of what I think should be implemented. If you have suggestions, please tell them. Hopefully this will greatly improve the Webbcraft forums.

Hypocrite, respect other people's beliefes? Says the guy who says I am crazy to believe in skylanders , you know I bet it's not even that , it's just that you don't like me. Like me believe in anything = u hate it , but when the 57 year old guy starts chanting rainbows and unicorns you would yell hooray

Idventure, if you want an argument, take it elsewhere. We don't need your spam on this topic. And you shouldn't bring up old topics to get me in trouble.

The comment above is a prime example of "No spamming; irrelevant posts, pictures, etc." as it does not help achieve anything and is just annoying. This topic is meant for people who want to give proper feedback on what they think of the potential rules.

No youve been banned for a while, admitting to hacking. Even if it was joking.

May I add something?

I have seen a lot of topics being derailed by the likes of Dan & Idventure, and the usual lot, derailing topics should break forum rules.

Great topic, thank you.

Penq the main flaw in it is there is no forum muting/banning as of yet. I'm trying to get something developed that can be plugged into the forums and add that without changing it too much. But in-game temp bans should be used until further notice as it will still be punishment.

EDIT
1. No spamming
-No excessive posts, pictures, etc.
-No irrelevant posts, pictures, etc.
-No "derailing" topics (i.e. Changing the subject, starting irrelevant conversations, etc.)

Thanks Wowman!

I will follow these rules aswell, since we haven't been told what to accept/not to accept on the forums.

And Penquinator, if you are reading this, there has been a lot of spam posts by Idventure lately, if you could deal with it, that would be awesome.

Great topic, thank you."

You didn't have to mention my name, thank you very much. Me and Idventure890 do not 'derail' the topics. Me and many others have had enough of your exaggerating, Wowman. Even Luigi says that some of the stuff you say can be quite offensive to others. luigiofthebakery said,"Wowman, I'm getting sick and tired of you poisoning the forums with your foul mouth. If you want to have a discussion, keep the language clean and appropriate like Dan has done.

Some of those comments you wrote towards Dan were very offensive and should have no place in the civilised conversation he was trying to have with you."

He said that on this post http://webbcraft.co.uk/forum/read_topic.php?id=1996.

Now that is why you were banned a couple of days ago, Wowman.

Also, I think that excessive swearing should be a rule on the forums as well, as Luigi says,"Excessive can mean as much as any player thinks is enough."

Also, nice rules Vulturboy!

+1, but I still think I should be able to say random, but positive things on a topic, even if it isn't very "relative"
