Prismarine Farms

Someone suggested Prismarine Farms may be banned because of trouble they caused on the old world. Could someone please confirm this? My particular build as an "off" switch, and I plan to build a timer so it will only last for the time it takes "garbage" to despawn off a pressure plate, that way the build doesn't infini-spawn a bunch of entities that cripple the server.

So if I build The Machine responsibly with "kill-spawn" timers, would that be acceptable?

Aww... I didn't think you liked me very much and didn't want anything to do with me. I'm sure you could find some good ones to design one from on YouTube, though. :)

Ok, so according to http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Guardian_farming Where I have the "farm" is totally NOT where Guardians are going to spawn. I need to have it under sea level, and I'm still digging that out.

So... I'm learning. :) I'm going to focus on digging out the core area so I can get the thing built. That means I'm "on hold" with my request for string/ dispensers. I'll get my hole to bedrock first, and start building around from there.

While I'm at it, I think I still have /f claim power. I'd like for JamesSkullBlood and/ or Loki to comment on if I may expand out around the area by one chunk each side of the Monument area. By having a bit larger of an area, I can have The Machine able to farm more prismarine. 58 tiles / 16 tiles per chunk = 3.625 chunks. By expanding it by 2 chunks each side, I can farm more of the prismarine. I am also considering building it so on the outside, it appears to be a volcano from the outside with farms "hidden" on the inside. I am still building it with "dead-man" switches both to shut off the various spawners as well as the machines both for maintenance and to lower lag during peak play. Is this acceptable?

At this point, I am considering claiming the land around the area a bit more, getting the outline settled, then working on the island/ volcano outline. I figure the area can be unclaimed later if needed, and my hope is to create something the faction will enjoy and get use of, and thus... the land claimed benefits the faction, so there won't be an interest in unclaiming it.

In other words, I've already asked permission, but with no response, I'll settle for begging forgiveness and hope it turns out well.
