I think our current system of staff applications is inefficient and problematic (i.e. "y u hate me? u -1 my app"). I think the staff application section should be viewable by the applicant and high-ranking staff members (Admin rank and up) to ensure a fair chance and greatly reduced spam/arguments. I think if a player's application is good enough to be considered as staff, then the admins and Luigi should discuss it and make a decision from there. I see too many good applications get ruined by lies and petty grudges.I also think that staff applications should be closed when there are no available staff spots to prevent *more* spam/arguments. |

you can do all of that with enjin but that idea was shot down.but I do think that Mods should be able to view it too. |

I'm not entirely sure about Moderators viewing it as I've known some of them to be biased. If we could just get a good developer to configure the server website with that and add in a punishment system it could work. |

Ckvoss, I'm done putting up with you. I'm going to be brutally honest with you now. Your application was terrible. It's got 350+ views and 60+ comments, where you bumped it a lot. If it hasn't been accepted by now, you aren't getting the position. Your application wasn't a good one ruined by petty disputes, it was just terrible in the first place. |

I disagree. Staff are here to help ordinary players and make the server a better place for everyone by enforcing the rules. Ordinary players should be able to provide input into who is chosen for such a role, not just other staff members. |

Then at least let me clear this up; if a player comments multiple +1/-1's on an application, or if they aren't being serious and are doing it because of some petty dispute or something, will it be counted? That's my problem with the current system, as players take their "vote" as a joke much too often, comment multiple (sometimes different) votes, and start arguments. |

Vulture if a staff member doesn't like you what stops them from doing the same to your app? I'm with Luigi on this one as everyone should have a say and its pretty obvious when its a real or grudge +1 or -1. I have seen where some have settle disagreements on the apps . So there is a healthy part in the process. In theory your idea looks good but in reality lets face it, Staff are bound by the same rules we are - Emotions. Some control it well and then there are some that just can't. |

I think that staff shouldn't be biased. If they are biased towards a player on an application then they shouldn't be staff perhaps. |
