I (personally) think that if the server had an anti swear plug in, we might get more players. Some people's parents wont let them on servers that seem to approve of swearing. The anti-swear plug in would just bleep out any cuss words. (Ex, ****)However, depending on what plugin it is, it might not allow players to write signs if something written sounds like a bad word. I have been on a server before that has a plugin that does that. I cannot write LillyBugginz or butterfly on a sign. Neither can any other player.Which is kinda dumb honestly. But if we did find a good plugin that only bleeps out bad words in chat, that would be an improvement to the server (in my opinion). |

+1I'm sure that an anti-swear plugin can be configured to allow certain words. The first few weeks would probably be a lot of configuring as players are finding out what words they can and can't say. |

+1, I actually agree with this. However I think if you want or don't this plugin you should do /swear (want swearing) /unswear (don't want swearing). |

-1We have mods for that... And I know a lot of swear plugins block out the words "Gay" "Sexual" (Or anything like that) |

^ Yes, but sometimes mods and admins are AFK and can't monitor what people are saying. "I know a lot of swear plugins block out the words "Gay" "Sexual" (Or anything like that) " this is going against what you were trying to say, which is "We have mods for that". |

Many people could just bypass it like this "BlITCH" (There was an l <-- as in Lick ,before the I <-- as in eye) |

^ That's where the Mods come in to monitor the players language. Also I'm pretty sure the Anti-Swear-Plugin would be more advanced to recognize that someone I's trying to bypass swearing. |

Have any of you ever tried to swear on MinePlex? If we had a plugin like that..... |

It's not that I can't handle it, I just know from experience that if some people's parents saw them playing on a serving where cussing seemed to be approved of, they might not let their child play on the server anymore. And I was expecting the people who like to swear to -1 this. no offense. |

+1 No swearing is a rule so it would be better when someone swears you cant see the word |

No swearing isn't a rule- is it? I thought it was something along the lines of: every sentence you say does not need to have a swear word in. haven't checked out the rules online for ages though, I managed to learn them all off by heart. |

I never swear and I'll disagree with this. Actually, from someone who's been on servers with this type of plugin used, it's a horrible idea. If someone swears badly enough that it's disturbing people, mute 'em or ban 'em. Simples.I've been on servers that have these plugins before. They almost never work as intended. More than that, they'll censor words that nobody would think were profanity. And some words that only the religious right would ("damn" is censored, but "chav" isn't? I mean, come on.) They're culturally insensitive and take no account that different people are offended by different things. |

That is true and I did point out that most anit-swear plugins do have problems. Like bleeping out normal words that have bad words in them. I expected the server to not get an anti-swear plugin, but it was worth a try :) |

Oh and not swearing excessively. That's a rule. Thus meaning that swearing IS allowed but not too much |

:/ once again, It was worth a try. And you like swearing. of course you don't want a plugin that doesn't allow other players to see you swear. And the parents give a (bleep). Players are players. My parents only allow me to play on this server because they know I am responsible enough to not drop to that level.Anyways, argument over. Thanks for everyone who responded in a POLITE manner instead of being a (bleep) about it. |

Tylermerg, if you have nothing reasonable and productive to say, then don't say it. |

-1 I rarely approve of censorship or restriction of the kind of content we can talk about and I don't think it would be helpful. |
