There is a rumored new world to come out in 1.9, and I've been wondering how the server will change. I would like to know stuff like if we will keep our money. Second, when will Luigi reset the world, I just don't wanna know the date. The time when he resets the world would be nice as well so I could be ready to claim faction land right when it comes out.

Those where just a few things I would like to know, feel free to put what you would like to know as well. Hopefully Luigi will respond with our answers. @_@

I can confirm that there will be a map reset.

This is when 1.9 comes out though, and there is no date for 1.9 as of yet. (Or that I know of)

So we can't really give a time as of when the map will be changed.

Things like balance would be something Luigi decides, you'd have to wait for his reply or ask him if we will keep the balances. I think the balances will be wiped though, once again, not sure, ask Luigi! :P

It's confirmed, the update releases on Febuary 25th. I think my question about the time and day Luigi resets the map can be answered now. I would like to have a nice faction this update, unlike the last when I got on 2 hours after Luigi reseted the world the map and half of the map was already claimed by WolfWInd (hyperbole)

Ummm, i talked to Luigi and he said that the world won't get reset any time soon. Just because the update is released, does not mean the world will reset, don't spread rumors please. I was worried that my series will get wrecked.

Who told you all this? There will be no map reset. The only times there are map resets due to updates are to new ores in the overworld. The end will (should) be regenerated, but not the overworld as there are no new obtainable resources. It has been about 6 months since our last reset. We still have another solid 3 months before a map reset will even be considered. 5 days from now is no time to reset the map. There is so much unexplored terrain & landscape within the World Bounderies.

DatGoodBear, the server may just stay the same because "a few others" want it to. We (atleast myself & other staff, i should hope) care about everyones opinion. Yours is no more important then theirs. Stop arguing and let cloudy state (his) disadvantages of a map reset.

By the way, every single bit of information in that 1st paragraph was confirmed by luigi.

So far I see people say that there will be a new world, and people who say there won't. I see both sides cite Luigi, but I don't see Luigi himself say anything about it. I don't know what to think.

Minecraft version 1.9 is in pre-release 2 Which means it will be coming in a few weeks, maybe a month at most.. Or a couple days..

Also, you do not need to reset the map for the new end, at most you would have to reset the end.. Otherwise I think that the end automatically updates.

Everything is ok guys, I took 50 pictures and a video For my base and items, resetting a world is a good idea since I won't lose my stuff also new items and elytra and potions. (well I would, but I will recreate it since I have creative :) )
