Ok everyone, as you all know the server is down again today due to major lag. This is the 3rd time I believe the server has crashed, and been shut down since the 1.9 update. I don't know why this keeps on happening. For me and most others, this is beginning to become a serious problem. Also, every time I've logged on since the 1.9 update, the server has been extremely laggy. By this point, (with all due respect to the staff and luigi), something needs to be done. Ever since this all started, the server has not been very fun to play on for me at least, and I'm sure most other players would agree would agree with me. If there is a way the staff can fix it and bring the server back up, please do it and comment below. If there is not, please comment below as far as what you know. If anyone knows anything more about this issue that they know or would like to bring up, please comment below also. Hopefully, this whole thing can be fixed soon.Sincerely, -Alfadog1 |

Are you the one who's crashing the server then? If every time you log in it becomes laggy it's probably because of you. The way to fix the server crashing would be to either find the culprit if there is one or wait for a patch if it's solely a 1.9 issue. |

I doubt someone complaining about the lag would have been the one causing it, Luigi. |

It's most likely a 1.9 issue. We just have to wait a few weeks for a fix. |

Sometimes people don't realise they may be causing crashes by loading in corrupt chunks or through unexpected glitches. Like stojan said, lag and a possible crash could even occur from unintentional misuse of redstone machinery, prolonged use of redstone clocks or mob spawning. |

Luigi, I can guarantee you that it's not me causing the lag. However, I have also noticed that the lag typically starts when there is more than 15-20 online. I do believe it is an issue with 1.9, not with players or machines or corrupt chunks, although they could certainly help increase lag. Thank you all for your comments though. Hopefully a fix for the 1.9 update will come out soon. |

I think its 1.9 because I used to get around 300-400 FPS on minecraft when it was 1.8, but now I get 80-200 FPS :/, IK its still a lot, but it is lower than what it was before. |

I haven't even been building any redstone item sorters yet. I only have the one prototype which is at /warp prototype.. It isnt even a big model. It only bas half a dozen hopper chests. |

The server isn't down.Alfadog1 wrote on 2016/03/20 02:04:51: "I do believe it is an issue with 1.9, not with players or machines or corrupt chunks, although they could certainly help increase lag" It's more likely the other way round: players, machines or corrupt chunks are the cause of the crash but the lag is caused by 1.9. |

The server was actually up when he wrote this as well, I don't know why he did it. |

When I wrote that the server was down a few minutes prior, until I notified chip_buh on Skype, and he put the server back up. Sorry for not posting that earlier. |

Also, luigi I couldn't agree with you more. However, the massive amounts of lag did occur after the server was updated to 1.9. Before that though, in any version of minecraft, typically lag *is* caused by players, machines, or corrupt chunks. Therefore, I believe this lag was caused by something else, such as the update itself. |
