Current ranks are based on how long you have been on the server and how much money you pay. I suggest we add another layer on top for people who have kept the rules, demonstrated trustworthiness, helpfulness, and other benefits to the whole community. Perhaps we could also award a rank for expert builders. For these ranks, a committee would vote on whether they met the criteria, and only award them to people who deserved it. These rank might have perks and might not (maybe they would keep their current perks and just take the new title), but holding the titles would command much more respect than current ranks. |

+1. Let me tweak this idea;Citizen: Earnt by reading the rules. Citizen+: Earnt by vote tokens/worthiness. [Member]: Has been on for a year and followed rules. [Veteran] (not quite sure about the name, just thought of one on the spot): Earnt by being online for 2 and a half years and being active and enforced rules throughout that time. Veteran could be earnt by a rare vote token (under 2 percent) by voting 20 times for the server, and thereby that player could be considered to be a Veteran, and that rank would have VIP+ permissions. |

Hmm, I'd be happy with this revision of the current ranks, and the idea of Veteren. However I'd also like to have one that has nothing to do with how long you've been on. I think it would be too easy to hit the 2 year mark and just be handed the rank. Maybe call it an award instead? "This title given for your service to the community, etc..?"I would like it if a persons rank said something about how safe it was to invite them to your home, or how good they were at building. No offense meant to anybody, but any fool with a few bucks can get donator+ and all you have to do to be a member is not get banned for long enough. Not a ringing character endorsement per se. |

The member rank is supposed to also be a merit based rank but some staff don't take that into account when giving it to people. |

+1 I like Jordan's idea with the Veteran thing especially because if you just get commands like /fly for staying on the server and being kind etc you will be 'rewarded' |

1+ BUT i think the 20 vote thing is a bit weird cause you would take maybe a week to vote that many times and 2 and a half years is a long time.80% of people that have spent that time on the server have brought a rank but it would be cool |
