Hey, I keep getting the message 'java.net.connectionexceptions: connection refused: no further information' Is anyone else getting this? Its not my internet because its running fine and my laptop protection isn't blocking minecraft. |

A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no adress was supplied. Yes i do get this annoying thingy. server is down. no idea why. |

Server goes down a fair bit. Can't blame Luigi for this, he cares about your enjoyment, but he ain't gonna wake up at 3am to solve it. |

"i would feel worse if i woke up to see the server had been down for some hours and we lost valuable uptime and player activity" <-- paraphrased. but yeah its okay to wake Luigi up at any time if the server has crashed, i have woke him up several times in one night due to server crashes. The server is more important as he only has to be awake for a few minutes to restart it. |

Well chip bro you're a bit of a dick calling him while he is asleep its not that important if it's offline for 8 hours or however long he may sleep for but you dont need to go and ring him.. |

He asked me to spam ring him and purposely wake him up. He told the entire staff team that we should message him and wake him up as soon as possible if we can.Of course it matters if the server is down for 8 hours! We lose uptime percentage which lowers the integrity of the server. Players that are attracted to the server are going to be drawn away from the server if it is down, and they likely won't try to join back later. Players that that are regular at joining may get angry because they were provided a poor service. The amount of reasons that the server needs to be up as much as possible, is a lot. Just to clarify, Luigi thanks me every time for waking him up to restart the server. Every crash that the server has had since the 1.9 update, I have messaged luigi to notify him. You should be thanking me for getting the server up as fast as possible for YOUR enjoyment. Luigi, want to have your word about this? |
