As you will all know (unless you have been living under a rock) many long time loyal players have been leaving the server that they love because of the "drama".These include Beetlejuice71,lennskie,MONKEYPAWNED and willissss and maybe more that have not announced their departure from the server.All of the players above have been on this server for a long time and its shocking that they have left because others cannot control themselves to not get into fights. If some one is annoying you tell staff and do /ignore its as simple as that.If you have a disagreement with someone have a debate with them instead of ripping their head off and throwing childish insults at each other.I have a brilliant example of this.last week the whole server had a civil debate about the US gun laws and morals when it comes to killing someone if they are trying to do it to you.And its was AMAZING.No one was yelling at anyone else and it was really nice.And if you really have to have a arguement with someone please for the love of God do it in /msg or Skype.You are not the only person on the server and most people don't want to see these fights.This is why people are leaving.I know that Armzngunz has finally got around to solving the major arguments but I would encourage ALL members of the staff team to stop these petty arguments before they get out of hand and drive people away from the server. Final thing I don't want this this just to be about what is going on now I want this to be be relevant in the future. That's all I want to say for now but just remember this is a game and games are made for us to have fun-Google |

Staff cause petty arguments aswell though; lerz, chip, penq and jordan. Some worse then others (jordan only had a minor argument with me and penq is usually well behaved) |

My new staffing rules are:Insulting another player ( Rule 3 ) = No warning, straight up mute for 5 or 10 minutes. Spam = If a default comes on to spam, I will ban him. If a citizen or above spams I will give you 1 warning, after that it will be a mute depending on the amount of spam messages you say. ( Same rules apply for caps, and most chat related rules ) Griefing/raiding = Straight up ban, unless it is minor ( 1 to 10 blocks, in which case will be 2 day ban ) Donator/Builder abuse = 1 warning and then a demotion to VIP. ( If VIP then to member/Citizen + ) Unless it's giving out GMC items, that's a straight demotion to VIP without a warning. Hacking = A straight up ban, as usual. Name changes = Will not be respected by staff, demotion to Citizen and will not be given your old name's items back. This is my new plan I'm going to try and stick to for staffing. I'd appreciate it if other staff could implement their 'guide' on how they will control the server. |

*Ahem*, You really cant do the sixth rule on that list. If someone has donated and paid for this server, you can not take away what they paid for and replaced it with one of the lowest class donations. The giving out items i can understand but taking away 5-10$ from someone is not ok. You should twek that list a bit before making it final. |

When you change your player name, you're automatically registered as a new player in the servers files, and all data stored on that one, effectively making you a new player, you only donated and got the rank as a thank you gift for your old account. |

@Sauasageman just gonna point out that it is a donation to the server. Luigi can choose whether you have the rank or not, and he gave power to staff to remove ranks if the need arises.It's common knowledge that if you don't like something you can discuss it on a post in complaints. |

Look at this scenario: I find a server I enjoy playing on, so I donate to the server because I don't mind supporting it after all, I spend a lot of time here. However I'm not too pleased about my name because I made it many years ago and I feel that it's silly now. So a friend of me tell me I can change my username to something I like. This makes me happy, I change my name and start playing again and when i then log on my favorite server, I see that I get demoted for changing my name. I'm getting punished for changing my name because lets be honest, it only affects me. and also /seen shows the users previous names. If you guys are going to use the LWC argument, c'mon, that can be the sole punishment itself, if you change your name, we will not unlock your furnace and chests. And ofc, if the player is a faction leader, it doesnt take long to write in a command to make him the new faction leader. Also the "Thank you gift" Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeets be honest here. If he could grab as much cash from donation by just having survival, this would've been a pure survival server. Not that I care or anything about it, but if we look at this in another way we can all see it :P Also that will not be respected by staff? Do you hold grudges against people that change their username? It's MineCraft. it is just.... minecraft... wh wh whyyy? That part makes me sad to be honest. 10 year old gets his parents to donate to the server for donator, never speaks a word in chat, changes his/hers name and BOOM, no respect, demoted. pls. |

Mumfie, quite honestly I agree, and with it I take back the 'no respect from staff' comment - I was quite angry while writing this sorry - However rules are rules and we gotta enforce them.@Ivy Everyone's complaining about people ruining the server because of fights and stuff, harsh punishments will stop that - Imo |

Penq there is a point where harsh punishments just fall into the relm of abuse. Breaking 10 blocks, imo, does not deserve a 2 day temporary ban. The way I see it, 10 blocks is more of a mail to the person asking them to be more careful, and reminding them that it isn't allowed. But I guess each staff member staffs in their own way.. |

this is how i fulfill my administrative role on the server, following penq's request for other staff to comment their methods:Insulting another player ( Rule 3 ) = Depends heavily on the severity. if the insults are not directly insulting, but hinting; i ask them to calm down a little bit, with a not too stern warning. if the comments made are directly insulting then stern verbal warning first, then kick, then 10-15 minute mute, i find this to be a sufficient time for the rule breaker to calm down enough to rejoin the chat. if this is not enough time then i will mute again for the same amount of time, if the problem still continues then i usually do a 2 hour ban. if there is an argument between multiple players then i follow the same rules, except instead of the first mute i say "next person to talk about this will be muted", if they are muted but don't stop after; i follow through with the second mute, and then 2 hour ban. if necessary. if the argument is a debate then i will allow it to take place, and monitor it incase it turns sour and insults are thrown. Spam = if a default joins and begins spamming an IP address, instant perm ban. their sole purpose was to join and steal our players, not to join and become part of the community. if a player starts spamming then i do not give a warning as this often does not get their attention, i go straight to a /kick. if they proceed to spam after their kick then i mute for 10 minutes, if they spam again after the mute then mute again for 15 minutes, if they still continue then 2 hour ban. Griefing/raiding = 1-10 blocks/items i mail the player reminding them that it isnt allowed and ask them to read the rules again. 11-60 blocks/items i mail them explaining that it isnt allowed and i will jail them for a set amount if time, up to 12 hours. 61-100 blocks/items i tempban for up to 2 days. 101-500 blocks/items i tempban up to 8 days, 501-1000+ blocks/items i go from tempban up to about 10 days, to a perm ban. Donator/Builder abuse = Depends heavily on what abuse it is. Anything other than GMC abuse i give 1 warning, 2 kicks, 1 jail, then demotion. the only reason i hang on to them before the demotion is because it is something that i have to be certain about before doing it, because they paid for the rank. if it is GMC abuse then varying on the severity, i will go from a tempban up to 10 days, to an immediate demotion. in all abuse cases i will demote to VIP+. Hacking = straight up ban. simple enough. Name changes = Immediate demotion to citizen, i wont unlock your containers, unless i have the patients at the time. i will still treat you exactly the way i did before, nothing has changed about you in my eyes, apart from your name. |

hay guise, here's how i do my important jawb as a staff membur because i take this job really serious and it means everything to me cuz minecreft is leif:Break 1 block and i'll perm ban you break 2-3 blocks and I'll jail your friends break 4 or more blocks and i'll perm ban you, your friends and family. if you insult a player i'll insult you back and then proceed to kill mysrlf if you abuse your donator powers ill instantly demote you and take away all your permission, including your permission to breathe irl. if you're hacking= meh who cares, lots of people do it, including a few staff members ;) - the more you know if you spam i'll get rly offended and tell everyone how much my life sucks and that ill murder myself over minecraft, remember it's important to let everyone know that I'm ending my life over minecraft so I get a lot of attention. if you change your name: Oh god, you've done it now. that's fucking ITTT!!! demoted, banned, ip banned, will track you down, burn down your house, fuck your parents and murder your dog. 123 for Mumfie. Honestly, I think Mumfie has a point, but you shouldn't be disrespecting staff like that. But still, name changing then taking their rank is just STEALING. There is no way around it. If you're willing to be taken to court for that, go ahead, steal people's money. Someone should definetly change that rule, or get a way around it so that the files don't attach to NAMES, but the player's IP (this is just an example, I don't know if thats actually possible). I haven't seen another server do this policy ever in 4 years. |

Because Luigi doesn't use the UUID system (I understand your view on this Luigi, don't worry) there will be a constant risk that shit will hit the fan due to people who change their usernames. Not only will there be complaints of being ripped off and such, there are also risks that some users may get witty and steal people's old usernames, preventing them from earning their stuff back. This makes the ban punishments and so, harsh. Why should we be penalised for something we paid for? It's our account. Even better, that account becomes someone else's. Did you ever think of it this way, anyone?This issue will never affect me, because I don't wish to deal with the bullcrap that comes with changing my name. I also don't want people taking my official name if I give it up, so the simple solution is that I just don't. But to all of those people out there who can't settle, this will forever be a risk until Luigi chooses to update his plugins and other items associated with server functions. |

@Jack, people don't buy ranks, they donate to the server as as a reward get the rank. It's not stealing if it's taken away from them. |

People are actually buying the ranks as they are unobtainable to get ingame without paying for them, you have just used another word for buying a rank and call it donate for rank.Not that I really mind, it's crucial for the server to get in "donations" to keep the server running (not that he'll run out of the money in the upcoming years anyway) but it sorta gets annoying that you guys always jump in whenever someone says paying for the rank and you're all like "It's a thank you gift, you donated, so we don't give a shit about you anymore!" Just stop that already, it's annoying. |

@Mumfie, people who have donated within the last 6 months and change their name still keep their rank for the remainder of the 6 months since they donated. This is so it's not unfair and people can still use the rank for a decent amount of time.I've explained the reason for the rule about username changes a few times before. Firstly, username changes and the UUID system are bad in general. We identify players in our minds based on their username, so when that changes, all memories associated with the player get disconnected until we recognise the link. I've had this happen to me quite a few times: I've seen what I believed to be a new player online who then turned out to be someone I knew before, and after a while it would become tiring to remember who was who. If less people change their name, the integrity of usernames as primary keys will remain and make things much less confusing and easier for players to remember each other. There's also security issues if unknowing players are tricked into thinking someone changed their name if they don't actually verify it themselves; some people might not even know how to verify what someone's previous usernames were. No, previous usernames don't show up in /seen, which brings me to my next point: the plugins can't be updated to support username changing because of the amount of user data that there is stored in non-UUID form. Also, the UUID system is much harder to deal with on an administrative and statistical level because for me to look up someone's file I would need to convert the UUID first. |

I've noticed that when I go "AFK" people start fighting and when no mods are on they also start making "Drama" In the middle of the day I was playing and Eddie was on. As soon as he left it was like throwing a bomb into a crowed. People were going crazy. Some dude killed 2 guys and stole their items, a bunch of people got griefed and so many new players joined the server with questions I sorta "rallied the donators" and thankfully multiple donators were online so each of us helped a new player while I tried to stop the dude killing other players and claiming their unclaimed bases. |
