I think we can all agree that elytras are pretty hard t ofind, right? Definitely agree with Ang on that one, but it's much easier to find the End Ship if you already have an elytra. A lot of people that have elytras have more than one, and a lot of the people who really want one have none. That's why I'm presenting an idea for an alternative. Instead of resetting the entire End dimension and thereby deleting everything built there, we could have so the End Dragon himself drops the elytra as a reward. What are the pros of this?- Adds a purpose to respawning the End Dragon, as it currently only drops an insignificant amount of xp and no loot - Preserves builds, bases, farms and houses built in The End - Adds another element to the end game (pun intended) - Makes the elytras equally available to everyone, including people without the ability to fly If you were not aware, respawning the End Dragon is possible by by crafting 4 End crystal with 4 ghast tears, which is challenging but definitely not impossible. Obviously the dragon would only drop a single elytra, so you would have to either kill it by yourself, with people you trust, or do it several times with a raid party to ensure you can all safely get an elytra. +1, everyone could use better transportation and the elytra is a perfect idea... Fun, fast, but much more unavailable than Xiaomi phones... those things are hard to get |

Yes this is exactly what the server needs! Thanks you Emily great idea. Credit to me for finding the plugin though ;) I see no way that this could effect the server negatively bar OP players farming the dragon but then again it is a challenge and harder than flying round the end raiding ships. While were on the subject of the end Shulker boxes need to have the ability to be locked preventing its content being stolen |

Ah yes, forgot to give Jasper credit for finding the perfect plugin so fast :)And on locking the shulker boxes, similarly to trapped chests, they are configured in a way that they cannot easily be locked with the plugins we know of. |

+1 Very good Idea. Also what is the harm in a staff member occasionally putting back an elytra in an endship here or there to be re-found This could also be done for Shulkers. Not often but just sometimes for a surprise. Not sure if this will be a problem with re-spawning the dragon but factions have claimed the obsidian towers. Will this make them impossible to break if the dragon is re-spawned??? They should not be allowed to be claimed if that is the case. The only thing that ticks me off is when defaults & very new citizens come on wanting Elytra and then winging when they can't get one cause they cost a fair bit due to rarity, yet they have put no effort into making money or working at all. They want everything within a day or week of being on the server. If you can't even be bothered to vote to get free money you don't really deserve anything. Just my opinion. I have been very helpful to a lot of citizens without fly and taken them to many far out end city's to get shulker shells as all the ones closest to end spawning point are gone. |

Tom I don't think getting a vote token is any easier than finding an End City :PAnd Belgnor good point, people won't be able to tower up to the crystals and destroy the iron bars, and I don't know a good way to resove that. Claiming it ofr the SafeZone won't make difference, sadly. The only way I see is to simply make it a rule not to claim the End Island. |
