Kakashisen stealing from Hobblesworth

I was in Hob's shop and Hob was pvp bypassing with a flame bow, attacking Kakashi. As far as I know, he didn't kill Kakashi. I don't think it was an actual attempt on her life, but I don't know that. Hobs reentered his shop and stood facing the corner, apparently AFK. Kakashi came up behind him and killed him, while Hob make no reaction. Kakashi grabbed up his stuff and ran out of the room. Hobs /backed and this was the first indication that he knew what had happened. Chat insued. I asked Kakashi "y u do this" in response to what I saw, and I think the chat is self-explanatory from there. Kakashi refused to return the stuff unless armz or someone made him. I'm not ok with this.

I also witnessed it. Kakashi refused to give it back and made a big game out of it which annoyed Hobblesworth. It's ridiculous tbh

Yeah. This is the second time I witness this, but she did not break the rules. She can keep the items and imo, I think she's exploiting the rules in her favor, but the TL;DR is that she can keep the items, and its ultimately up to her whether or not she gives them back.

Then I think we need a new rule against stealing. I'm pretty darn sure the behavior I saw isn't what Luigi wants for the server.

Wait... she didn't break rules, because it isn't illegal to steal...

Easy solution: steal them back from her for Hobs!

I mean, she shouldn't be rewarded for being a jerk. No punishment for her actions because they weren't illegal, but no reward either.

I find it a little ridiculous that griefing is against the rules but stealing isn't. Its practically the same thing...?

As do I. I think the server would be making a positive impact on a user-friendly experience by adding no stealing rules. I also witnessed the incident and believe that it was completely immoral, and unfair of KakashiSen to do that, and I think that a rule against stealing would stop incidents like this from happening in the future.

The rule of no stealing implies to chest and such, pvp is completely different

First thing that happened was Hobs had pvp on so I hit him, immediately he turns his pvp off so I stop buy stuff from his shop, and go afk, I come back to him turning his pvp on hitting me then turning it off, so his dog starts attacking me I hit it once it dies, (if I find a dog in the wild I'll to you to it Hobbles) so I go afk once again with my pvp off, I come back to him full Diamond armor pvp bypassing me with a flame bow, this goes on for a minute,  he goes back into the building and I attack him it takes like 3 hits, he is dead, I grab his stuff and leave, he is calling me bitch and such, I usually give items back but like damn am I if he is cussing me out, so  he said he wanted his elytra back, I decide to give him them back since they are really annoying to get, I said to him repeatedly, that I had messaged admins  (armz) and if he finds it breaks rules, then I would happily give them back, it's fair, but hobs proceeded to call me a bitch and Asshole,

I was nothing but calm and nice to hobs and he continued to cuss me out so why in hell would I do him the favor of giving his items back if I didn't break the rules

Next time Hobs always keep you pvp off if you don't want to die

Ya I totally agree with you Kakashi. In a fit of rage I cussed you out and I apology for my behavior about the incident as it was my best gear, but now I am proceeding with a cool head and going to take this in a more civilized manner. But first off before I rudely offended which again I am very sorry for I repeatedly asked 6 times without cussing in a normal manner if you could give my stuff back and you refused to. Second of bringing up rule 9 again, if PVP is off that rule should not have existed, but if being killed while not moving isn't unfair then mods I suggest you remove that rules because it makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Overall Kakashi I am very sorry about cussing you out in a fit of rage, but I had earned to items so I got upset over the fact that they were gone. In the end based of this post it is up to you whether you will give me my items back. Forgetting all the mean stuff I offended you with I still stand by the idea that stealing from a member is wrong, and lying is also wrong. This is said as Nick has identifyed you doing this again meaning most probably you might have not given my stuff back anyways. Nevertheless I am sorry for what I did, and am politely asking for my stuff back in the end this is your decision to make, and I hope you make the right one

PVP is a part of Minecraft, always has been and probably always will be, on this server you have the choice to turn your PVP on or off, if you leave it on whilst AFK then unfortunately you may die, this is YOUR OWN FAULT and personally I do not believe that you should moan or get anything back. Staff shouldn't be having to deal with problems because you were forgetful and left your PVP on, and then cause you moan about a problem that you basically caused, staff have to get involved again.

Actually Tyran your argument is not accurate at all. As griefing abuse everything is part of minecraft it has no rules. But their are rules set, now I was going to duel Kakashi and she killed me AFK. That was not the issue it was she stole my best gear and refused to give it back. So before making an argument like that consider that then rules in general should not even exist.

Kakashi does not have to give you the items back. There are no rules saying that she can not /warp to your shop and kill you whilst you were AFK with your PVP on.

You refer to rule 9 as your main defense, "No murderous slaughtering of players". But if you take a look at /warp RulesExp, it does state that "Murderous slaughtering" means successively killing a player (repeatedly), Kakashi did not do this.

The "Rules Explained" book for staff, which is written and confirmed by Luigi and myself state the following;
"PvP outside of an Arena is fine. If a player is killed legitimately and without /tp - it is their fault as they should have disabled their /pvp".
There are multiple warnings, both broadcasted by the server, and also by a sign at spawn; informing you that you should disable your /pvp if you wish to stay out of player vs. player combat.
if you wanted to ensure your survival whilst AFK, you should have gone to spawn or disabled your PVP.

Staff, nor Kakashi, are required to return your items, as KakashiSen did NOT break any rules, and you had plenty of warning and tutorial to avoid being killed by a player. I understand that you're angry about your loss, however this does not make any difference to how the rules are enforced.

Now i am not defending Kakashi here, i'm merely stating the rules and what they mean. What Kakashi did was honestly a dick move, but there is nothing we can do about it, because we don't bend the rules.

Sorry chip, but that is bullshit. According to what you said KakashiSen did nothing wrong, as she didn't abuse nor break any rules, fine. But how did me and Shindori get jailed for 12 hours each by Susan and you yourself took Shindori's gear huh?

If KakashiSen gets nothing for killing someone once in the wild, why do we get a 12 hour jail and my friend's gear taken for killing someone once, without using tp or killing him more than once?

i was told that you attacked him whilst he was on his own land, and you had bypassed his pvp false.

I wouldn't blame you for that though Chip, as you said you only enforced with what you knew. It was Susan's fault for misunderstanding the whole situation because it was alpaca who attacked us first, with his pvp enabled and then me and Matt killed him on someone elses territory. We explained it several times after it happened but we still ended up getting jailed :/
