So something I made in the wilderness was destroyed and claimed over by Hyperion, which is fine in my opinion because I should've tried to claim it faster. But, I don't understand the claiming system. It always says I don't have enough power. I remember once Luigi said that mods could give you power, but when I asked I don't think anyone responded (which is fine they probably just didn't notice, or maybe they did respond but I wasn't paying attention to chat) so I just want a description of the claiming system and if there's anyway to claim very specific amounts of land. |

Not all staff members can directly give you power but they can claim for you. If you see a [Mod] they probably can't give you power but they can come and claim the land for your faction. If you see an [Admin] they most likely can add more power to your faction.
Getting power without the help of staff is obtained by adding more people to your faction.
When you're claiming land it works like this: Every time you type /f claim it claims the chunk that you are currently in for your faction. If you didn't know a minecraft chunk is a 16x16 square of blocks that goes from bedrock to the sky. To view chunk borders press f3 and G on your keyboard at the same time, Trust me it makes claiming specific areas easier.
Also you might wanna ask a staff member about your land getting over claimed because there's only a few circumstances where that's acceptable (said claimed land being too close to a unfinished build that's clearly going to use that land, claiming community property like the spleef arena, etc).
Edit: /f autoclaim can be useful too. It makes it so as you walk it automatically claims the chunks (assuming you have enough power) that you enter until you disable it by entering the command again.
To view your power and maximum power type /f show. Near the top it will display your power.

You do /f show to see how much land your faction has, how much power it has, and how much the maximum power it can have is.
I already explained how the power and claiming system works here:
http://webbcraft.co.uk/forum/read_topic.php?id=6620
Each player in a faction gives it 10 max power, which is 10 possible land claims, unless a player dies a lot and has to wait for their power to regenerate.
I wouldn't advise using /f autoclaim since it's been misused in the past to claim land everywhere accidentally which is never used. If you're going to use it, make sure you turn it off afterwards by doing the command again. |
