I have heard recently that a particular admin, got sub 30 hours on the webbcraft server last month. another admin got 46 hours, which is also a terribly small number. Now, I love most of our admins as they're pretty chill usually, but I just want to point out that as staff, admins should spend more time on the server. If they aren't up for this job, then they shouldn't be staff. Of course, there are always exceptions, such as emergencies, or tests, or final exams, etc. But if in a month, you get sub 30 hours, and you're an admin? It's a disgrace. My suggestions is that we implement a system in which if an admin or mod is online for less than 40 hours a month, that the staff team give that particular staff a demotion(Of course, in certain emergencies, exceptions can be made), then track that staff's activity for the next month. If that staff manages to reach 50+ hours in the next month, then they get repromoted. If not, then its a permanent demotion. This is a system that, as I believe, would be able to filter through staff very well, getting rid of the inactive staff, and replacing them with more active staff. The next part of this suggestion is about mod powers. Mods don't have enough power. There are multiple occasions when staff actually ask me to do /day or /night in order to change the time of day. Staff should be able to have access to these basic commands, in case a donor begins abusing. /v should also be added to the array of commands a mod should be able to have, along with /repair. I find it terribly sad to see our mods work so hard to reach their position, and then to be left with barely any commands to work with when they reach mod position. Many people may say that this implementation would give admins less power, but I disagree. Admins will still have authoritarian power, meaning that mods will have to obey what admins say. However, if an admin is not present, then mods will have the necessary power to counteract whatever problems the server is facing at that moment. Remember, these are the mods that we elected. If they are trusted by us enough to get staff, they should be trusted to have these commands. |

I wouldn't consider 30 hours a month inactive, that's still 1 hour a day on average. Inactive is more like 1 hour a week, or only 4 hours a month.Moderators have enough commands to fulfill their duties, if they can ask donators to do /day or /night, then there's no reason for them to have it themselves. These are donator permissions and mods who have donated already get them, but becoming mod shouldn't entitle someone to a free donator rank. |

My builder rank has less permissions than VIP+. I had to ask an Admin after months just to get /broadcast. Mods don't donate money (sometimes), but they donate time and they help run the server for you. I don't see why a few couple simple commands isn't allowed. |

Money shouldn't be an issue Matt, if Luigi has indeed only kept the money for the server's upkeep, he should have enough money saved to keep the server running for years to come without additional donations. |

I don't think you guys get my point. Mods can't even break warp signs. Like wtf? They don't have /v, so they have to either call an admin or use an invisible pot to stalk hackers. And invis pots leave particles and are also susceptible to /near, making it difficult. |

As MODERATORS, they at least need /v or enable the ability to use gm3 because it's basically the same just better in my opinion. If they don't gain access to one of these then they can't truly fulfilling their duties and that's due to lack of permissions (besides having /v or gm3 can't really hurt anything), they should be renamed to Helpers or something stupid because right now they're as good as Donators with authority (I was going to say architects but that's insulting) if you don't give them what they need to show you what they can manage. |

luigi and Galb, i disagree with you a bit, for luigi, 1 hour a day for staff in my opinion is not that good for staff, and Galb, sometimes people have stuff going on like camping or vacations making it so they don't get 40 hours a month, i say that when staff aren't on vaca etc... they should have at least 3 hours a day, and you shuoldn't hold it against them when they have to go one vacation. |
