(I will fix typos in the forums)Earlier today, Chip suggested we have an event organizer sub rank. I like the idea of sub ranks, so I am here to expand on it. The build team was disbanded some time ago for a multitude of reasons. Some of which being a lack of builds, and who was allowed to join. Well, hopefully this suggestion will remove those past conserns. So, first, why should we have a build team? Well, first off, our server has several world class builders, who are under equiped and under apreciated. The goal of this would be to promote good builders, and teamwork amongst them. The build team was disbanded, why should we recreate it? The main downfall of the previous build team having high expextations for amazing builds, while not giving them the tools to create them. With the new build team subrank, players in it would have the tools to build, such as /i and /fly, so they can build, while still being under the control and monitoring of staff. Well, how can we be sure it isn't just given to whomever anymore? Simple. Well, we have a proper application form, in which two fully fleshed out, stunning builds will be required, as well as the usual application requirements. Then, we will have a team of "Judges" to determine if A, their builds are good enough, and B, they are trustworthy enough. This team of judges will consist of both staff members and build team members, as to ensure both the build team and staff team are satisfied with the choice. Finally, we will require build team members to be active, and to only use their abilities (/i and /fly) for official server projects. Meaning, inactive, or selfish members will be removed. +1 Building in minecraft is an art - it should be beautiful and inspirational. It doesn't matter if the server is a peaceful faction server and how big it is, having people's creations in the game would be enjoyed by the community and inspire others to build impressive structures. As long as the staff monitor the build team properly, the abuse of power would be limited; if need be, the commands would only be available when there's a build project on, and taken away once it's finished. |

-1 survival server we don't need more potential abusers with creative, plus it's in the game to get the resources for the builds it makes it more rewarding when you complete it. If they were only given /fly and whatever the fuck /i is they can donate like the rest of us and pretend to be on a build team :) and there's no real reason to it because they can build together as is already; putting a title on it just gives bragging rights and would likely cause issues. -1 to BT I like the idea of the sub-rank though, you could have like a top voter or voters of the month to entice people to vote etc. +1 to sub-ranks |

Also guin, we didn't THINK we were good builders, we were, and still are.Aouldrain Proatus Shindori Vulturboy Diddekong Zezimir Also, at first we asked for creative (ONCE), then Luigi said he would give it to us, and he never did, so we asked about when it would be a couple for times and Luigi always gave a really vague answer. Infact, we really only wanted creative to build a new spawn for the server. |
