I really don't think that it is clear that you can ask for citizen after reading the rules. I know that it says it in the back of spawn, but the sad truth is when many players join, they are just eager to go out of spawn, and unfortunately miss that sign. I think that this is evident because I still see a lot of default players online, so the method isn't working that well. My suggestion is that maybe you move that sign maybe on the rule board or somewhere where it is guarenteed for them to see. |

Inside the rule board there is a sign that specifically says "Don't ask for ranks other than citizen.", which implies that you can ask for citizen. Therefore if you read the rules, you should know that you can ask for citizen. |

Right but as I said, just earlier today, I joined and half the players were default rank, so obviously they aren't taking the time to read the rules. They SHOULD be but the reality is they aren't and getting citizen rank isn't clearly conveyed to them because if it was obvious then we'd see less defaults. |

The point of citizen is to signify that you have read the rules and understand them. If we tell people that they get citizen by reading the rules in the first place, people will solely read the rules to solely get citizen which defeats the whole purpose. |
