Over the past few days, maybe even weeks, I've seen a lot of players say things like "The rules don't matter" or supporting trolls as they come into our server. This is troubling to me for a couple reasons. Reason 1 being that when a troll or spammer is essentially told by players (sometimes even high ranking players) that what they're doing is okay, it leads to an even more aggressive behavior from the trolls. Staff need assistance from all players to keep chat running smoothly and to prevent spam. Reason 2 Is that these players that provoke the trolls often aren't even warned or punished for supporting their bad behavior. In my mind these players supporting the trolls are doing just as much harm as the trolls' spam. |

Why should people who support bad behavior be punished?They didn't actually DO anything. All I would think is that you keep a close eye on them. |

+1 encouraging someone to break the rules is almost as bad as breaking the rules. |

People like this can be punished easily because they would have broken the underlying /rules, mainly 'Be Respectful' and 'Be Ethical' |

There are those who want the rule breakers gone, but the rule breakers are yet to do something banworthy, so citizens push them to break the rules some more so the rule breakers get banned and cease to cause trouble. I see this as community innovation. |
