I've looked through many sensible posts in the suggestions section of the forums, and all I ever see is staff coming up with reasons not to give the suggested article a try.My suggestion: Actually listen to what your people are asking for. Don't make up a reason not to do it. Be more open-minded and just give it a chance. A lot of those suggestions were simply not feasible, some have been tried out and failed. Here is a summary:1. Party Chat: Rejected - Not needed 2. Art Map: In progress (2) 3. Solitary Confinement: Rejected 4. Ads for In-Game Money: Failed 5. Website polling: In progress (1) 6. Fix the Vote Tokens: Needs more support / Not feasible-ish 7. Safe Trading: Research required, too complicated to develop myself and cost/benefit not worth it unless there is already an existing plugin. 8. Teleports: Rejected / not feasible 9. Automatic Tax: Not feasible / unnecessary 10. Ranks: Needs more opinions / support / In progress (3) 11. Spawn Eggs: Needs more information / opinions (on prices, types) / In progress (4) 12. Party Chat: Duplicate of #1 13. Bring helper back: Rejected 14. Sign Shops: Rejected 15. Warps: Failed / In progress (5) Suggestions labelled as in progress are in order of priority by the number. |

1. "Not needed" The server's people all seem to enjoy the idea whether it's needed or not. It's a quick installment, short configuration, and would make the community happy.4. The idea didn't fail; you misinterpreted the idea and incorporated something barely irrelevant to the suggestion. 7. I can give you an IP to a server that already has player-to-player safe trading so you can look into it. 9. It would prevent players from leaving the server for long periods of time and prevent players from getting unnecessarily rich from hoarding money, and they'd start spending cash to reduce loss from taxes. Along with this, /withdraw would need to be removed. 14. I see no reason for rejecting this one. It's an annoying flaw that is easy to fix. |

#4 did fail, it's against the Google advertiser policy to display ads on pages with no content, but even if it wasn't, it would not have been worth it to do. What I did was a small test to see how much revenue it would make, and it was very insignificant. That's better than spending hours on developing the system fully as it was described only to find out that it doesn't make any money and gets shut down due to going against the policy.A small failure is better than a big failure. |
