Now that the end is almost (if not completely) raided, The only way to get elytras now it through vote tokens. What if we made it so that you could trade in a certain amount of items to receive one?
Example: A player could trade in a full stack of diamond blocks with a staff member and receive an elytra.
Not only would this make them more feasible to get, but it's also better than just waiting around hoping to get a vote token. If you put in enough time and gather the materials required you'll be able to receive an elytra (Or some other type of reward perhaps)
Please leave any thoughts and opinions you may have below! |

You could have it where each ore would give you a certain level of prize and have specific blocks for those levels:
-Diamonds would be like elytra, dragon heads, spawn eggs maybe.
-Gold could be horse armor, rare enchant books, other things of value.
-Iron could be like certain potions, common enchant books, other things of lesser value
These wouldn’t be the official items per ore block but I just thought up some for a picture as to how it would be if anyone likes this idea |

+1 As long as the traded item sharply outvalues the recieved item. |

I think maybe we should make it half a stack of diamond blocks. A whole stack seems a bit much tbh
But other than that, this sounds like a good idea +1 |

A full stack is more appropriate. The average price of an elytra from what I've seen is $4000, and one diamond is about $7. To make a diamond block, it's 9 diamonds, so $7 x 9 diamonds is 63, and 63 x 64 is 4032, very close to the average elytra price.
Also, I +1 |

I think elytra are already able to be purchased in the shop for money. If that's the case then you can sell the items to get money and use it to buy elytra from the shop. Due to the prevalence of counterfeit items, it's not a good idea to set a discrete monetary value for items and it's better to let this be decided by the market.
Vote tokens are a much more reliable form of currency. |

Or didn't someone once suggest that respawning and killing the dragon could drop elytra? whatever happened to this idea? |

I like the idea since it gives diamonds a purpose since not many people have uses for them after putting mending on all their diamond gear. If the item trading couldn't be implemented, Belg's idea is a good one as well. |
