How to gain new players with new features

I have been playing on this server for rather a long time by now and I pretty much didnt quit since then (2016). Because I find extremely pitty, that no new players have joined this year for most of the time or at least stayed for a while (and trust me I have good record of playerbase at least in first half of year as I ussualy spent more than 8hrs per day on the server) I decided to do something about it, I tryed to find a way to keep new players on the server. Lets be honest, im not only one that thinks the same as mentioned above and there is rather quite a few of us.

So I decided to sort of use my kingdom ( /tpa kingdom ) as a way to lure new players in.
Simply said, imagine Medieval/Witcher inspired campaing inside minecraft. I gave the kingdom lore, that players can try to fully reveal as it has dark secrets and even treassures with unique items, then I made some quests, those are bit scetchy as some of them require quest giver - me - to be on the server. Other quests can be mix of parkour, maze and treassure hunt. Then I also made aditions of jobs like farmers, builders, tree cutters and miners. This job thing did actualy catch up extremely well to all sorts of players. Point of job is, that for example someone gets 3 stacks of wheat and then they are paid with big amount of money and some items like armour, gems, ores or weapons.

Now that you know my reassoning its time for the suggestions:
Those will be mostly rather simple aditions that can be easily made with some programming that should not requite lot of thinking.

-Possibility to do jobs: players can choose to pick simple job. When choosen they will be given basic tools to do the job. When they get certain items, they would get rewarded in "market like area" via clicking on sign. As reward they could get extra amount of money

-Add trading signs: for example you mine 10 diamonds and you can trade them for 30 raw iron, or you get withered skeleton´s head and you can trade it for unique item like enchance shield with unique name.

-Try to make unique events, in which there could be quests. For example clear old castle of skeletons and zombies, or fight unique boss like mob (zombie, with extra health, name, some lore to it and items and abilities) or even stuff like bank robbery PVP where some players will be guarding bank and other players will try to find ways how to rob the bank

-Lore exploration, where you know some part of story and you are hunting for other part of story and if you will find out what happens you can get very unique items from hidden treassure or by trading.

>all things mentioned above should be doable near spawn or warps that would be visibly mentioned somewhere. For example market area should be right next to the spawn.

And finaly, adition, that mods and admins probably wont like, but it would be very effective way to have players stay:
-Add various obtainable basic ranks that players could gain through achievements, so example being: you do lot of mining? Why not give such person rank of miner. Such stuff could work in various ways, but mainly I would give this rank to someone, who for example mined 50 stacks of iron. You can imagine how this rank system would work.

Also one very last thing: as someone, who did study (not only) hotel management I was taught one very important thing which is called "first impression". New players from my survey dont really know, what Mush Co. is about when they join and they dont know all possibilities this server offers. Why you ask? Spawn is in my view wasted opportunity.
>Spawn should impress new players and show them all that this server offers, there should be warps, shops in very close vicinity, map of interesting places that players can visit, possible things that players can do etc. So far when someone joins and spawns they ussualy notice big empty room and rules. People dont want to be on server that puts rules in front of theire eyes without them actualy knowing that this server offers a lot.

Im willing to work on everything I mentioned 24/7 if any of my suggestions should be taken into considerations. But remember, sitting and thinking wont give anyone anything.
